The Village at Gleannloch Farms is currently seeking a full-time Server to join its hospitality team in the Independent Living Dining Room. This role is vital in creating a warm and inviting dining experience for residents by providing exceptional customer service with grace and efficiency. Serving at this community involves much more than just delivering meals; it requires attention to detail, adherence to high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and the ability to promote a positive dining atmosphere.
The Server is responsible for maintaining community standards of sanitation and organization while ensuring food quality and presentation standards are met consistently. This position involves setting tables, taking orders, providing menu information, and catering to individual dietary needs and preferences according to established policies. The Server also helps clear dishes, assist with washing, and reset tables promptly to maintain a seamless dining experience.
Ideal candidates will be those who bring enthusiasm and compassion to their work, particularly those interested in senior care and hospitality. Experience in food service is preferred but not mandatory, and familiarity with senior populations is a plus. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work full-time, Monday through Saturday with rotating shifts
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- capacity to follow food handling and serving protocols
- a positive attitude and willingness to work with seniors
- physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
- ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Experience in food service work preferred
- experience in working with seniors preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Always exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization
- responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards always
- exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards always
- exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
- take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously
- answer pertinent questions about menu items
- clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables
- serve customers using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere
- knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per policy and procedure
- represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment
