Job Description
StoryPoint Kettlestone is part of the CommonSail Investment Group, a well-established senior living community company with over 37 years of experience serving seniors and their families across multiple states including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, and Tennessee. The company specializes in various senior living services such as independent living, enhanced living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing. StoryPoint Kettlestone specifically is dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging environment where seniors can thrive with personalized care and community involvement. The company operates with a strong culture based on six core pillars: Dream Big, Have Courage, Take Initiative, Be Accountable, Give Back, and Enjoy it. These principles guide employees to aim for exceptional experiences in every interaction, every minute of every day.
As an employer, StoryPoint Kettlestone fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace where employees are empowered to lead and encouraged to prioritize the needs of others. This people-first approach has contributed to their continued growth and reputation as a desirable place to work, attracting individuals who are passionate about serving others and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors. The community values teamwork, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, striving to provide the best possible experiences for both employees and residents alike.
The Server (Wait Staff) position at StoryPoint Kettlestone is a part-time role with shift options from 6am to 2pm and 4pm to 8pm. This role involves performing a variety of food service functions and ensuring the service areas, facilities, and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Servers serve meals professionally while exhibiting genuine concern for residents and guests, following food safety and sanitation regulations, and providing excellent customer service. This position also includes performing set-up and breakdown duties, handling resident concerns tactfully, and maintaining positive attitudes and professional behavior at all times.
The Server role is ideal for individuals who enjoy engaging with others, working in a team environment, and contributing to a positive dining experience that enhances the quality of life for seniors. Although prior restaurant experience is preferred, it is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to begin or continue a rewarding career in hospitality within a meaningful setting. Employees in this position must be able to stand for long periods, communicate effectively, handle multiple tasks, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The position demands good personal hygiene, a professional demeanor, and the ability to respond to resident and guest needs promptly and courteously.
Joining StoryPoint Kettlestone means becoming part of a mission-driven team dedicated to making every minute great, not just every day. The company supports the growth and development of its employees by encouraging initiative and leadership at every level. This position offers a chance to work where hard work is recognized and advancement opportunities are available. By contributing to a culture that genuinely cares for seniors and each other, employees at StoryPoint Kettlestone find fulfillment, community, and a career path worth pursuing.
