Job Description

Brookdale is a leading provider in the senior living industry, recognized by Newsweek in 2024 and 2025 as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity. With a nationwide presence encompassing 589 communities as of November 30, 2025, Brookdale prides itself on its commitment to gracious hospitality, neighborliness, and creating a home-like environment for its residents. The company is an industry leader in clinical care, dedicated to ensuring comfort and meaningful connections for residents and their families through engaging events and personalized attention. Brookdale's extensive corporate support includes robust training programs designed to help associates grow both personally and professionally in a supportive and inclusive workplace.

Brookdale is currently offering career opportunities for servers, a role that not only involves fulfilling food service duties but also provides avenues for advancement into positions such as cooks, supervisors of dining services, and receptionists. This role is an excellent fit for individuals who want to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes personal growth and professional development without requiring late-night shifts. Associates in this role earn more than just a paycheck; they gain access to a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support their overall health and wellness. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and many optional voluntary benefits such as pet insurance and ID theft protection.

Servers at Brookdale interact closely with senior residents and their guests, ensuring meal orders are taken and delivered promptly according to company standards, and that every person is satisfied with their dining experience. The role also entails collaborating with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and orderly dining environment by bussing tables, resetting them, disposing of trash, and restocking necessary inventory items. Side work duties, as assigned, help maintain efficient operations. Brookdale values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a drug-free workplace. Military veterans, active duty personnel transitioning to civilian life, and military spouses are encouraged to apply, with additional support offered for naturalization application fees for qualified associates.

The server position is available on both part-time and full-time bases, with benefits eligibility varying accordingly. Temporary associates may participate in the company’s 401(k) program but are not eligible for other benefits. Full-time associates gain access to paid time off, paid holidays, adoption benefits, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, tuition reimbursement, and optional life and dependent life insurance plans. The position offers a competitive base pay determined by the applicant’s skills and experience, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals seeking both meaningful work and career development in the senior living sector.
