Job Description
River Crest Country Club is a prestigious and historic country club located just five miles from downtown Fort Worth. As Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club, River Crest offers members a distinguished dining and recreational experience with a reputation for service excellence and an unwavering commitment to quality. Established in a beautiful, serene setting, the club provides an exclusive environment where members enjoy upscale amenities and premium dining services. The country club atmosphere is enhanced by its rich tradition of hospitality, fine cuisine, and exceptional member care, making it a central social hub for its community.
The position of Waitstaff/Server at River Crest Country Club is a vital role within the Dining Rooms, where the primary goal is to ensure total Member and Guest satisfaction. This full and part-time position offers a competitive pay structure, with an hourly base rate of $8.50 plus a 15% service charge on all sales. Historically, servers at River Crest have averaged earnings between $24 and $27 per hour on a bi-weekly pay schedule, which combines the base pay with the service charge. It is important to note that this earning range is influenced by shift availability and venue traffic and therefore is not guaranteed.
Working as a Dining Room Waitstaff/Server entails creating an inviting atmosphere for members and guests by maintaining a high level of service excellence. Employees prepare the dining area with necessary supplies and consistently replenish items to support smooth operations and top-tier service standards. The role requires consistent attention to detail, a polished personal appearance, and the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with members, guests, vendors, coworkers, and supervisors. Service staff are expected to greet members personally, acknowledge them by name when possible, and respond promptly to their needs, ensuring a memorable and positive dining experience.
At River Crest, service excellence is highly valued and rewarded. Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans. The club also provides YMCA memberships and Flexible Spending Accounts, enhancing employees' overall well-being. Paid Time Off is available to full-time staff, beginning after 60 days of employment, and a 401(k) retirement plan is offered to both full-time and qualifying part-time employees. Additionally, the club supports employee wellness with chef-inspired meals provided in the Staff Dining Room, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.
The work environment at River Crest demands physical stamina, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, constant standing, walking, and balancing. The club maintains a culture of respect, professionalism, and team collaboration, emphasizing adherence to high service standards and club policies. Employees undergo background checks and drug screening, and all positions require E-Verification to ensure compliance with employment laws. The club supports staff development by providing necessary training and assistance, including providing Food Handlers Certification where needed.
Overall, working at River Crest Country Club offers individuals an excellent opportunity to be part of a historic institution with a strong service culture, attractive pay, and a robust benefits package. The position suits individuals who thrive in dynamic, member-focused environments and are dedicated to delivering superior hospitality services.
