The role also involves effective communication with guests to ascertain their needs, assist with menu selections, and inform them about specials and promotions. Servers are responsible for accurately inputting orders into the POS system and for maintaining cleanliness in their work area, including pre-bussing tables and assisting with approved side work when necessary.

This position requires adherence to safe food and beverage handling practices and proper operation of food prep equipment such as knives, coffee makers, and iced tea machines. Handling guest complaints professionally and involving management when required is important to ensure guest satisfaction. Servers must be able to manage busy periods effectively while keeping guests comfortable and engaged during wait times, whether dining in or picking up carryout orders. Job Requirements

  • 0-2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
  • Ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use hands for handling and operating tools
  • Ability to bend and stoop
  • Ability to see with close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception vision
  • Availability to work flexible hours including early shifts
  • Must comply with all safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service skills and experience

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
