The Server role at Charbar7 is a vital position as it places you directly in contact with guests, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. Servers at Charbar7 act as the face of the restaurant, responsible not only for taking orders and delivering food but also for guiding guests through the menu, making recommendations, and enhancing their overall experience. This position requires a friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable professional who can work efficiently with colleagues in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent communication and professionalism throughout their shifts. Employees are expected to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in all dining areas and adhere strictly to restaurant policies and state regulations, especially regarding sanitation and alcohol service.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to operate POS, make change and accurately conduct credit card transactions and account for all monies at the end of each shift
  • Stands/walks 6 to 8 hours per shift
  • Reaches, lifts and bends frequently
  • Able to deliver plates, food and clear tables which may require lifting as much as 30lbs
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to guests
  • Ability to be friendly and smile

Job Duties

  • Guides the guest through the dining experience by helping with selection of food and beverage
  • Enhances each guests experience by suggesting courses, specialties and features
  • Has a strong knowledge of menu items and preparations
  • Takes orders of guests both in house and over the phone and conveys to the bar and or kitchen
  • Prompt delivery of food and drink to each guest
  • Communicates well with other servers, kitchen staff, and all management throughout shift
  • Maintains presentation and cleanliness of dining room and bar
  • Prepares before, during and after shift with various side works
  • Adheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies put forth by management and the state
