Marriott Hotels pride themselves on a legacy of outstanding service, innovation, and dedication to employee well-being. Their mission is to provide "A wonderful hotel experience, always," achieved through genuine, attentive service that anticipates guest needs and elevates hospitality standards.
At the heart of Marriott's success is its inclusive and diverse workforce, where every associate is valued and plays a role in making guests feel welcome. This particular opportunity is for a Part-Time Food and Beverage team member located in Bloomington, Minnesota, at 2141 Lindau Ln. The position is non-management and offers a wage of $11.41 per hour with tip eligibility. The role demands daytime and evening shifts with a preference for weekend availability, emphasizing flexibility and teamwork.
This non-management Food and Beverage role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of Marriott's dining services. You will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, assisting with seating, serving food and beverages promptly, offering menu recommendations when appropriate, handling transactions accurately through the MICROS system, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. Attention to detail in table settings, timely clearing and restocking of supplies, and maintaining a professional appearance in uniform are essential. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and uphold safety standards through mandatory training and certification.
Marriott's culture encourages positive energy and a customer-focused mindset, which are key qualities for success in this role. Employees are welcomed into a supportive environment featuring learning and development opportunities, wellness programs, recognition initiatives, and access to hotel discounts and other perks. Working here means joining a team committed to collaboration, motivation, and inclusion. As a Marriott associate, you will have the chance to grow your career, explore various pathways within the hospitality industry, and develop professionally while contributing to memorable guest experiences.
Notably, JW Marriott, Marriott's luxury brand, is recognized for fostering a work atmosphere where employees are trusted, innovative, genuine, and intuitive. The "JW Treatment" reflects the brand's dedication to employee care as the foundation for extraordinary guest service. Team members enjoy camaraderie, diverse colleague connections, and holistic well-being support, making this more than just a job but a rewarding career filled with purpose and growth potential. Joining Marriott Hotel means stepping into a global network and a brand renowned for luxury, excellence, and employee empowerment.
