The Server role at Providence Hospitality Partners offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional food and beverage service. This position requires a friendly, efficient, and professional approach to serving patrons, ensuring every guest enjoys a positive experience. The Server greets guests warmly, assists with seating when necessary, takes accurate and courteous orders, and provides knowledgeable answers to questions about food and beverage items. Adherence to all state liquor regulations is critical, including verifying age when needed. In addition to serving, the Server handles cash transactions, maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards, replenishes tables and bar areas, and resolves customer complaints with sound judgment. This comprehensive role demands flexibility, professionalism, and teamwork to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.

This role emphasizes the importance of detailed product knowledge, particularly regarding the complete beverage selection and the descriptions of all wines and champagnes. The Server maintains an understanding of all menu items to facilitate excellent service and is also responsible for completing necessary paperwork and assisting with other duties assigned by management. The position requires physical stamina to meet the demands of continual standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to varied environmental conditions.

Job Duties

  • Greets patrons upon arrival
  • assists with seating as needed
  • takes food and beverage orders accurately and courteously
  • responds to patrons’ questions regarding food and beverage items
  • accurately writes tickets for food items or receives orders from wait staff
  • maintains complete knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations
  • verifies legal drinking age of patrons as needed
  • handles purchasing transactions including operating cash register and accounting of daily sales
  • receives payment from patrons
  • makes change as needed
  • issues receipts
  • clears and resets tables and bar area as needed
  • possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all beverage selections and descriptions of every wine and champagne
  • maintains cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs closing clean-up duties
  • resolves patron complaints using best judgment or refers to management
  • assists other staff to ensure optimum service
  • completes necessary paperwork and maintains files and records
  • performs other related duties as assigned by management
