The Server position at Vitalia Mentor is a part-time role, hourly paid between $15 and $23, and is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This role is essential in ensuring residents not only receive excellent service but also feel welcomed and engaged during their dining experience. The position requires a dynamic individual who embodies the spirit of being a Host with the Most, someone who warmly greets residents and interacts with them to make the dining room a lively and friendly gathering place.
Servers at Vitalia Mentor take on multiple key responsibilities, including preparing tables and meals as a Peppy Prepper, maintaining cleanliness and order as a Titan of Tidiness, and observing residents' eating habits to provide feedback to supervisors and wellness staff as an Appetite Anthropologist. This multifaceted role demands both attentiveness and energy, ensuring that every meal service runs smoothly and that residents feel cared for and valued.
Vitalia Mentor emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate must be at least 16 years old, possess a proficiency in English equivalent to an eighth-grade level, and have the physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The server's role is physically active and requires assisting residents with mobility as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their dining experience.

Job Requirements
- At least sixteen years of age
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of eighth-grade proficiency
- Positive and energetic attitude with a passion for working with seniors
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to fifty pounds
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and supporting after a fall
- Criminal background clearance

Job Duties
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome in the dining room
- Prepare tables and meals including salads and rolling silverware
- Buss tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining area
- Communicate observations about residents' dietary habits to supervisors and wellness staff
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
- Engage with residents to foster a friendly and connected environment
- Support smooth meal service through preparation and tidiness
