Job Description

Arrow Senior Living is a prominent senior living community dedicated to providing a warm, home-like environment not only for its residents but also for its team members. Established with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors, Arrow Senior Living has fostered a culture that emphasizes core values such as respect, compassion, and excellence in care. The community is uniquely designed to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of its residents, creating a vibrant atmosphere where every individual is valued and nurtured. The organization is well-known for its employee-centric approach, promoting from within and offering extensive appreciation programs, incentives, and comprehensive benefits that contribute to a rewarding career experience.

Positioned in Little Rock, AR, the Summit community at 16100 Chenal Valley Drive is currently seeking a part-time Server to join its dedicated culinary team. This role offers a starting wage of $13 per hour, with shifts scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. As a Server at Arrow Senior Living, you will play an integral role in creating a welcoming and engaging dining experience for residents. The position is multifaceted and centers on providing excellent hospitality, preparation tasks, maintaining cleanliness, and attentive observation of residents' dining habits.

The Server role embodies several key responsibilities that go beyond traditional serving duties. For example, being a "Host with the Most" entails greeting residents warmly, fostering connections, and ensuring they feel at home in the dining environment. The role also requires being a "Peppy Prepper" who diligently prepares tables, salads, and silverware to facilitate smooth meal services. Furthermore, as a "Titan of Tidiness," the Server maintains cleanliness by bussing tables and sweeping floors, contributing to a pleasant dining atmosphere. Another critical aspect involves acting as an "Appetite Anthropologist," where communication with supervisors and wellness staff about residents’ dietary habits and changes is essential to personalized care.

This position demands more than just serving skills; it requires a positive, energetic attitude and an active presence, as the job involves standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift. Servers must be physically capable, often lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds, and able to assist residents with mobility or after falls. Criminal clearance is a must, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Arrow Senior Living values diversity and inclusion, employing individuals from all backgrounds while complying with federal and state regulations.

Joining Arrow Senior Living means becoming part of a supportive team that values professional growth and personal fulfillment. Employees enjoy various benefits, including a 401(k) company match, medical and dental insurance for full-time employees, shift differentials for night and weekend work, an employee assistance program, life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more. Part-time staff also benefit from paid time off accrual, complimentary meals during shifts, and opportunities for career advancement. Arrow Senior Living's emphasis on internal promotion ensures that committed team members have a clear pathway for development and long-term success within the organization. This server role represents not just a job, but an opportunity to make meaningful connections while contributing to the well-being and happiness of senior residents every day.
