The part-time position offers competitive pay starting at $13 per hour, with shifts scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The role involves much more than basic serving duties; it includes being a "Host with the Most" by warmly greeting residents, fostering meaningful interactions, and ensuring a pleasant dining environment. You will also take part in meal preparation, such as prepping tables, salads, and silverware as the "Peppy Prepper," ensuring everything is in place for a successful service. Maintaining cleanliness as a "Titan of Tidiness" by bussing tables and sweeping floors is vital to uphold the welcoming community atmosphere.Arrow Senior Living values communication and attentiveness; part of your responsibility will be to observe residents’ dietary habits and report any changes to supervisors or wellness staff as an "Appetite Anthropologist." This holistic approach to dining services reflects the company's commitment to resident health and well-being. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about working with seniors, capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 50 pounds frequently. Assisting residents with mobility and ensuring their safety, including helping after falls, are key aspects of the role. Employees are required to undergo criminal background checks and must be at least sixteen years old with proficiency in English to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen years of age
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an eighth-grade proficiency level
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
  • Ability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after a fall
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Job Qualifications

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at an eighth-grade proficiency level
  • Energetic and positive attitude with a passion for working with seniors
  • Experience in customer service or dining-related roles preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • Skilled in assisting elderly residents with mobility and safety

Job Duties

  • Greet residents warmly and make them feel welcome in the dining area
  • Prepare tables, salads, and silverware in advance to ensure smooth meal service
  • Buss tables and maintain cleanliness of dining areas including sweeping floors
  • Observe residents dietary habits and communicate any concerns to supervisors and wellness staff
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
  • Engage residents by mingling and fostering connections during dining
  • Report unusual changes in residents eating patterns or meal attendance
