Job Description

Bardenay is a pioneering restaurant and distillery known as the first of its kind in the nation. As a fully 100 percent employee-owned establishment, Bardenay takes great pride in offering high-quality fresh food, premium spirits, and a welcoming team-oriented environment. The company's unique ownership structure means every employee has a vested interest in the success and growth of the business, fostering a culture of shared responsibility, innovation, and collaboration. With a strong commitment to valuing employee ideas, opinions, and input, Bardenay creates a workplace where individuals are encouraged to thrive and contribute to the company's ongoing achievements.

The role of a server at Bardenay offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Servers at Bardenay play a vital part in creating memorable dining experiences by interacting warmly with guests and attending to their needs throughout their visit. This is a full-service restaurant position requiring a thorough understanding of menu offerings, including food, wine, beer, and liquor knowledge, to confidently assist guests in making selections and to communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen. Serving at one of the busiest restaurants in the Treasure Valley, Bardenay servers earn competitive hourly wages typically ranging between $25 and $30 per hour.

Employees enjoy numerous benefits that enhance their overall compensation and work-life balance. From day one, servers have access to dental and vision insurance plans, with health insurance eligibility beginning after one year of employment when working an average of over 30 hours per week. As a 100 percent employee-owned company, Bardenay also provides annual share distributions to employees, creating further financial incentives aligned with the company’s success. Additional attractive perks include a discount on meals during shifts, $1 beer or half-off cocktails after work, paid holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July, and complimentary public transportation passes for select Bardenay locations.

Joining the Bardenay team means committing to high standards of service, continuous learning about the distillery and culinary processes, and supporting a friendly, attentive, and efficient dining atmosphere. The work requires physical stamina and the ability to engage with guests consistently while maintaining grooming and appearance standards. Servers will also assist in various tasks such as preparing and cleaning tables, managing side stations, performing cleaning duties, and helping during special events and staff absences. This role is ideal for candidates who have prior full-service restaurant experience, a strong team spirit, excellent communication skills, and a passion for hospitality. Bardenay offers a dynamic work environment where servers grow professionally while contributing significantly to a well-respected and innovative employee-owned company.
