Job Description
Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk is a distinguished dining establishment that seamlessly blends the vibrant flavors of Rome with the esteemed hospitality and wine culture of Cooper's Hawk. Cooper's Hawk itself is well-known for featuring a Napa-style tasting room that offers a unique wine-inspired retail experience, coupled with a full-service restaurant, bar, and private event spaces. This setup allows guests to enjoy a modern yet casual dining atmosphere that focuses heavily on pairing every scratch-kitchen menu item thoughtfully with their award-winning wines. The Cooper's Hawk Wine Club stands as one of the largest wine clubs globally, providing exclusive benefits such as curated dining experiences and travel opportunities, further enhancing the lifestyle brand the company is building. Since its inception in 2005, Cooper's Hawk has delivered the Napa Valley ambiance and wine expertise to guests and members, and now through Piccolo Buco, they are expanding their offering by bringing the rich and authentic taste of Roman cuisine to the table.
The Server role at Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk goes far beyond the typical responsibilities of taking orders. Servers here are creators and curators of unforgettable experiences, grounded in high standards and committed to providing uncompromising hospitality. The role involves guiding guests confidently through the food and wine offerings, including the benefits of the Wine Club, fostering moments that connect, delight, and inspire. This position requires warmth, effective team collaboration, and thoughtful conversation to ensure every guest leaves with more than just a meal but a cherished memory. Servers are expected to arrive prepared, knowledgeable about the menu, wine list, and service protocols, and proficient in using the POS system to handle transactions accurately. They are entrusted with the responsibility to maintain legal compliance in alcohol service and exhibit initiative in problem solving to uphold superior guest experiences. Communication is key in this job, with servers coordinating with kitchen staff, hosts, bartenders, and managers to ensure smooth and synchronized service. Personalization is highly valued, encouraging servers to build genuine connections by using guests' names, celebrating milestones, and sharing detailed knowledge about the Wine Club to invite guests to join the exclusive community. Moreover, going the extra mile to create small delightful touches and introducing wine tastings to enhance the guest experience will be a significant part of the everyday responsibilities.
This opportunity suits individuals who have at least six months of experience in full service or upscale casual restaurant environments, are comfortable discussing food, wine, and membership programs, and possess a passion for hospitality and teamwork. Physical endurance to be on feet for up to 10 hours and ability to lift 40 pounds is also necessary. The job offers comprehensive benefits including substantial dining and retail discounts, monthly wine tastings, health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and telehealth, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, flexible schedules, early pay access, wellness and mental health support, and clear pathways for career growth. Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and reasonable accommodations during the hiring process. This role is perfect for service professionals eager to advance their careers within a dynamic, wine-focused, and hospitality-centric brand.
