The Server position at Atlas Restaurant Group plays a critical role in creating an uncompromising dining experience for guests from the moment they arrive until the end of their visit. Servers at Atlas are expected to demonstrate genuine hospitality and attentiveness while maintaining neatness, cleanliness, and efficiency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role requires strong multitasking skills, excellent food and beverage knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and kitchen staff. Servers engage directly with customers by answering menu questions, recommending items based on preferences, processing payments accurately, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of guests. They also uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards by keeping workstations organized and performing routine cleaning duties. Job Requirements

  • Valid form of identification
  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
  • May require food handler's certification depending on local regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Excellent customer service skills with polite and attentive demeanor
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to work in a team serving environment
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
  • Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) and Restaurant365 systems

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in restaurant industry
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plus
  • Meets state minimum age (18) to serve alcohol
  • Basic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Excellent customer service skills with a polite and attentive demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of English
  • Must have the ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations
  • Have the ability to effectively answer questions and speak before groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public at restaurant locations
  • Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must have the knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips
  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) and Restaurant365 systems
  • Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast paced environment using experience and an outside-the-box mindset

Job Duties

  • Answer questions about the menu, sell restaurant's food and drinks, and communicate orders with the kitchen
  • Stay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experience
  • Possess strong food and beverage knowledge
  • Keep all working stations clean, organized and properly stocked
  • Perform daily and weekly cleaning duties
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guest
  • Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations
