Job Description
Timber Ridge at Talus is a distinguished senior living community located at the base of Cougar Mountain in Issaquah, Washington. Serving as an exceptional living environment unlike any other in the East Seattle area, Timber Ridge at Talus is a Silver LEED-certified Life Plan Community that beautifully blends sustainable living with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. This unique community is designed for well-traveled, outdoor-loving seniors who enjoy a vibrant and active lifestyle. Residents are often found socializing over dinner, hiking nearby trails, or simply soaking in the spectacular views that the campus and surrounding nature offer. Timber Ridge at Talus prides itself on offering an all-inclusive lifestyle enriched by superior hospitality and an unmatched location, setting it apart from other senior living communities in the region.
Currently, Timber Ridge at Talus is seeking a full-time Server to join their Culinary Services department, specifically working within their fine dining space. This role offers competitive pay ranging from 25.10 to 27.60 USD per hour, depending on experience, with no tips involved. The Server position is integral to providing high-quality dining experiences to senior residents, ensuring each meal is not only delicious but served with care and professionalism. The role demands a passionate individual who embraces the community’s culture of excellence in service, cleanliness, and presentation.
As a Server, you will be responsible for a broad range of dining services, from setting tables and taking orders to serving meals with grace and efficiency. Your role will also include maintaining cleanliness standards, adhering to food safety regulations, and promoting an inviting dining atmosphere. The position supports community-driven goals by creating a warm, welcoming environment that fosters resident satisfaction and positively impacts overall occupancy and revenue. Furthermore, the community offers extensive benefits including daily pay options, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401K matching, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, and employee discounts. Staff also receive perks such as free Lyft rides to and from the Issaquah Transit Center, free underground parking, free meals, ongoing professional training, and a supportive, enjoyable work environment.
This Server role is suited for individuals with some experience in food service and preferably experience working with seniors. A minimum of sophomore year completion in high school is required along with a Food Handlers certification. The work environment typically involves indoor settings with occasional outdoor event services subject to weather conditions. Physical requirements include long periods of standing and walking, the ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds, and to push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds. Flexibility in movement such as bending, stooping, reaching, and balancing is necessary, alongside the ability to see, hear, and speak proficiently.
Joining Timber Ridge at Talus means becoming part of a community that values your personal and professional growth, offering continuous training and career advancement opportunities. This position not only fulfills a critical operational role but invites you to contribute to a warm, engaging atmosphere where both the team and residents flourish.
