We are currently seeking a diligent and customer-oriented Server/Bartender to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding service by attending to guests promptly and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest areas within the restaurant. The Server/Bartender is responsible for greeting guests within thirty seconds of arrival, offering menus, taking and filling orders promptly while ensuring food arrives within eight minutes of ordering. Additionally, the role involves suggesting drinks, desserts, and after-dinner beverages when appropriate, and efficiently presenting the check. Maintaining accuracy in order processing through the POS system and preparing the coffee bar are essential tasks in this position.

Furthermore, Servers are expected to handle table setup and breakdown duties depending on the shift (breakfast or dinner), manage flatware preparation, upholster cleanliness in guest-visible areas daily, and uphold high standards of hygiene and order. In the absence of a steward, the Server takes on additional cleaning responsibilities including sweeping, mopping, and glassware maintenance. Bartenders must follow drink recipes meticulously and monitor beverage costs to meet organizational goals while ensuring compliance with alcohol waste reporting.

This role demands a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and teamwork to uphold the standards set by our Food and Beverage Director, who retains the authority to modify duties and enforce disciplinary measures to maintain company standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a restaurant server or bartender role
  • Ability to greet customers promptly
  • Capable of preparing and serving drinks according to recipes
  • Ability to operate POS system accurately
  • Must be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including mornings and evenings
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform cleaning duties
  • Must adhere to all safety and hygiene protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant service or bartending preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environments

  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet the guest within thirty seconds of their arrival into the restaurant
  • Offer the guest drinks and fill the order
  • Explain menu along with any chief specials that may be served
  • Take their order and fill the order, making sure that food arrives at the table within eight minutes from order time
  • Offer desert after the meal along with any after dinner drinks if server/bartender is working the evening shift
  • Present the check
  • Make sure that all tickets including vouchers are rang up in the POS system
  • Set up the front desk coffee bar and maintain it throughout the shift
  • Deliver food ordered to the room within thirty minutes if in-room dining is offered
  • Set up tables for dinner or breakfast depending on the shift and stock all cabinets with glasses
  • Roll own flatware for next day use
  • Clean guest visible areas continuously
  • Bust all tables immediately unless taking a guest order
  • Clean all windows, doors, and seals daily for fingerprints and dust
  • Dust shelving daily as needed
  • Vacuum carpet daily
  • Sweep and mop and clean all glassware and flatware if no steward is available
  • Follow all recipes on drink menu and report broken or spilled alcoholic beverages on the waste sheet
  • Keep a focus on guests
  • Comply with Food and Beverage Director's instructions regarding duties and disciplinary actions
