The role we are offering is that of a Server, responsible for serving meals to patrons according to established rules of etiquette. This position involves engaging with customers to provide a positive and memorable dining experience. The Server will greet guests, present menus, suggest meal courses and wine pairings, and accurately relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff. The role also includes garnishing and decorating dishes to ensure visual appeal, serving dishes directly at the table when required, and closely observing diners to meet any additional requests promptly. The Server must handle the billing process accurately, accepting payments or directing patrons to the cashier. Preparation and replenishment of supplies after each meal service are critical components of this role to maintain smooth restaurant operations. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, the stamina to stand and walk for extended periods, and the dexterity to handle tasks efficiently. This role is suited for individuals who are attentive, service-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment where teamwork and professionalism are paramount.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • serves ice water and or coffee upon greeting the table
  • presents menu to diner suggesting dinner courses appropriate wines and answering questions regarding food preparation
  • writes order on check or memorizes it
  • relays order to kitchen or bar and serves courses from kitchen and service bars
  • garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
  • serves patrons from dish at table on occasion
  • observes diners to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been completed
  • totals bill and accepts payment or refers patron to cashier
  • replenishes supplies and prepares for the next meal
  • takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • other duties as assigned
