Marriott International is a leading global hospitality company renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. With a rich legacy of innovation and dedication to quality, Marriott operates a vast portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide, including the well-respected Westin brand, which emphasizes wellness and guest satisfaction. Located at 320 N Dearborn St in Chicago, Illinois, this establishment offers a vibrant work environment that combines the energy of the city with the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel industry. As a part-time Food and Beverage team member within this hospitality powerhouse, you will play a crucial role in continuing the tradition of excellence that Marriott International is known for. This non-management position provides a competitive pay range of $13.66 per hour, with additional opportunities to earn tips and a training/PTO rate of $22.00 per hour. Flexible availability is preferred to meet the dynamic needs of the guests and operations.

The role centers around delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests by providing attentive and friendly service in a timely manner. As a Food and Beverage server, your primary responsibilities include welcoming guests warmly, serving food and beverages accurately, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. You will utilize your knowledge of the menu to make recommendations and handle transactions efficiently using MICROS point-of-sale systems. Attention to detail is paramount, as you are expected to maintain impeccable presentation standards, including table settings and cleanliness, to enhance the overall dining experience. This position requires physical stamina, such as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform at all times.

Marriott International promotes a family-like culture that values the natural talents and positive energy of each team member. They offer numerous benefits geared toward supporting employees inside and outside the workplace. These include discounts on hotel rooms, gifts, food, and beverages, development opportunities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, motivational management, and a collaborative team spirit. The company actively embraces diversity, ensuring equal opportunity across all employment aspects, making you feel valued and welcomed from day one.

In this role, your interaction with guests directly impacts their experience and their choice to return. Each interaction is an opportunity to create memorable moments through courteous service and meaningful engagements. The company encourages employees to grow alongside the business through various career paths, making this position ideal for both newcomers to hospitality and seasoned professionals. By joining Marriott International and the Westin brand, you will be part of a global team dedicated to wellness, excellent service, and personal growth, empowering you to become the best version of yourself while providing guests with an outstanding dining experience.
