The Server role at Miller's Ale House is pivotal to maintaining the standard of service that the restaurant is known for. As a Server, you will be directly interacting with customers, greeting them warmly, and making them feel welcome. Your responsibilities will include not only serving amazing food and drinks but also creating a vibrant atmosphere that customers genuinely enjoy. The job requires a commitment to excellence, adherence to company policies especially relating to alcohol service and safety standards, and working effectively as part of a team to ensure prompt service. Job Requirements

  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled in full uniform
  • greets guests in a warm and friendly manner while also acknowledging all guests that come within five feet
  • follows the steps of service as defined in the Miller's Ale House training materials
  • provides highest level of service by adhering to all Miller's Ale House service standards, creating "Ale House Raving Fans"
  • serves alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and state alcohol service requirements
  • works directly with other team members to ensure all guest's needs are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • ensures menu knowledge to address guests' questions, including food allergy issues
  • ensures proper food handling and sanitation of work areas
  • maintains neat and organized server stations and FOH work areas
  • ensures work areas are stocked and ready for the next scheduled server as well as cleanliness upon departure
  • notifies management immediately of any potential issue with guests, team members, and/or long ticket times
  • works "To Go" station when assigned by management
  • washes hands every 30 minutes throughout the shift
  • serves all food and alcohol within accordance of company standards and state service requirements
  • maintains clean and sanitized work areas
  • works with team members to ensure that safety and sanitation protocol is being executed to company standard
  • supports other front of house functions as needed, ensuring that everything within the 4 walls of the restaurant is every team member's responsibility
  • positively communicates with other team members and management to keep one another informed
  • provides exceptional service throughout the entire shift
  • sets up team members for success at shift change by ensuring side work and stations are properly stocked

Job Qualifications

  • Possesses strong communication skills and the ability to work alone as well as with a team
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to work with numbers and handle cash
  • basic reading and handwriting skills with ability to operate the restaurant point-of-sale software
  • must be a minimum of 18 years of age unless otherwise dictated by state law
