Job Description

The role offered is a Server position reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to offer outstanding service to guests, making them feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout their visit. The Server plays a crucial role in the dining experience by warmly greeting guests, providing them with menu information and recommendations, accurately taking orders, and efficiently delivering food and beverages. There is a strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and organization in the service areas and assisting other team members when needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

The Server will also handle financial transactions, prepare final bills, and ensure all guests leave with positive impressions of the restaurant. The position requires standing for long periods and the ability to carry and handle trays of food safely. Effective communication skills, basic math ability, and familiarity with point-of-sale systems are essential qualifications. This role is key to upholding the restaurant's high standards of service and guest satisfaction, contributing directly to the overall success and reputation of the dining establishment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic math skills for handling payments
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems

Job Qualifications

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcome and greet guests
  • Inform guests of specials and menu changes
  • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
  • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar
  • Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
  • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment
