Job Description

Sunrise Senior Living is a leading provider of senior care and residential living, dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors by empowering them to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. With a strong commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, Sunrise Senior Living creates a warm, supportive community where residents, their families, and team members thrive together. Recognized repeatedly as a Great Place to Work by Activated Insights for its exceptional workplace culture, Sunrise Senior Living stands out as a premier choice for both employment and senior living services. This company prioritizes compassionate care, respect for the sacred value of human life, and a collaborative environment driven by values such as kindness, dignity, and integrity.

The community known as Sunrise at River Road exemplifies these standards, providing a vibrant residence for seniors that combines top-quality care with a friendly, respectful atmosphere. Within this caring context, Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Server (Dining Room Care Manager) who will be pivotal in delivering high-quality dining service to residents. This role is not just about serving food—it’s about enhancing the dining experience by offering attentive, personalized service that contributes to residents’ wellbeing and joy. The Dining Room Care Manager serves as a role model for dining service excellence, helping train new care managers, maintaining cleanliness and order, and ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and regulations.

The responsibilities include managing daily dining room operations to sustain a positive and safe environment, providing extensive dining service training to new staff members, and assisting residents with meal selections in accordance with the community’s menus. Additionally, the role involves maintaining dining room readiness through diligent checklist inspections, managing side work duties, and supporting special events and tabletop inventory management. This role requires strict adherence to all federal, state, and local guidelines for food handling and sanitation to ensure a safe and healthy dining environment.

The position also plays a critical role in maintaining resident confidentiality and participating actively in team efforts to promote safety, risk management, and compliance with occupational health standards. As part of the Sunrise team, the Dining Room Care Manager will contribute to a culture of service that values teamwork, continuous learning, and resident-focused care. Opportunities for professional growth and development are integral to the role, supported by ongoing training and adherence to certifications such as Food Safety, CPR, and First Aid. The employment offering includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, retirement savings, paid time off, and other benefits that support the well-being and work-life balance of employees. Competitive compensation is offered, dependent on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and certifications. Sunrise Senior Living invites passionate individuals to apply and join a certified Great Place to Work where their skills can truly shine and their careers can flourish.
