The role of a Server within SSP America is integral to the overall guest experience and the operational success of its restaurant brands inside Portland International Airport. Servers are ambassadors of the brand, engaging guests warmly and knowledgeably to ensure satisfaction and repeat patronage. This position requires individuals who have at least one year of prior serving experience, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage guest interactions efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Servers are responsible for more than taking orders; they act as suggestive sellers who are experts on the products including hand-crafted beverages and delicious menu items, enhancing guests’ dining experience with well-informed recommendations. The position demands adherence to all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring the safety and compliance of all transactions and guest activities. In addition to impeccable service, servers must maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness and set-up standards, perform cash handling duties accurately, and support their team by executing general cleaning tasks as assigned. Job Requirements
- Open weekend availability
- Ability to work full-time
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Previous serving experience of one year or more
- Willingness to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations regarding alcohol service
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and set-up
- Good communication skills

Job Duties
- Greet guests in a timely, courteous, and friendly manner
- Input orders into register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest
- Receive cash from guests, make any change needed, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of restaurant at all times
- Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests at all times
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
- Other duties as assigned
