Job Description

Red Lobster is a family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been serving guests for over fifty years. It all started with a vision to connect people with seafood and the coast, creating a unique dining experience centered around fresh meals and a welcoming atmosphere. Today, Red Lobster operates over 500 locations and prides itself on being more than just a place to eat. It’s a vibrant community hub where new friendships blossom and familiar faces gather. The company culture is rooted in its founding passion, driving the team to provide exceptional service and memorable dining experiences. Red Lobster is recognized for its commitment to its employees, offering numerous benefits and career advancement opportunities that reflect its investment in its people.

The Server role at Red Lobster is vital to maintaining this welcoming environment and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. This position involves much more than just taking orders and delivering food; it’s about creating a friendly interaction, anticipating customer needs, and representing the brand’s commitment to quality and community. Servers are expected to greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and attentively check back throughout the dining experience to make sure everything meets guest expectations. Accuracy in taking food and drink orders and an understanding of the POS system are essential to keep operations smooth and efficient.

Physical stamina is important in this role, as servers must move throughout the restaurant, stand for long periods, bend, reach, stoop, and carry up to 30 pounds safely. Attention to detail and multitasking abilities are crucial in managing multiple tables and ensuring every aspect of the guest's visit is handled promptly. Red Lobster also emphasizes adhering to all food safety standards to protect guest health and safety, which is an integral part of the server's responsibilities. Flexible scheduling is offered to support a healthy work-life balance.

Working at Red Lobster also means gaining access to a range of competitive benefits, including weekly pay, competitive wages, medical, dental, and vision plans starting at affordable rates, and additional benefits such as life insurance and short-term disability. Employees are eligible for a 401(k) plan with company matching after one year of service and can enjoy anniversary pay if eligible. The company also provides discounted meals during shifts and for dining as a guest, fostering a sense of community among team members.

Red Lobster is committed to equal employment opportunities and strives to maintain an inclusive and welcoming workplace regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, or other protected statuses. The company values diversity and is dedicated to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform their essential job functions.
