Job Requirements

0-2 years related experience
strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
ability to stand and walk for long periods without rest
ability to push, lift, carry and transfer up to 50 pounds
ability to reach, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and tools
ability to bend and stoop
verbal communication skills
vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
ability to access all areas of restaurant including selling floor, stock area, and register area

Excellent guest service skills and experience
ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise
detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

computer skills including POS system proficiency
0-2 years related experience
strong knowledge of common restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures

Job Duties

Takes guest orders utilizing menu knowledge and situational selling techniques
serves food and beverages promptly ensuring quality and timeliness
communicates professionally with guests to determine their needs and assist with menu selections
describes menu items accurately and maintains company quality standards
inputs orders accurately into the POS system
pre-buses tables and assists with approved side work
practices safe food and beverage handling and cleans up
safely handles food prep equipment such as knives, coffee maker, iced tea machine
handles guest complaints effectively and involves management when necessary
communicates and interacts with guests to ensure comfort while they wait
may assist in other job categories
performs all other duties as assigned
