Job Description

The Server will report directly to the Culinary Director or Dining Room Manager/Supervisor and will be involved not only in routine meal service but also in assisting the dining team during special events and community functions. This role demands attentiveness, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through excellent foodservice.
The Server’s daily responsibilities include taking accurate orders, promptly delivering beverages and meals, responding to guests' feedback about their food, and maintaining cleanliness both at tables and in the overall dining room environment. Additionally, candidates should expect to work in varying temperatures given kitchen and dining room conditions and may be required to meet health and safety guidelines such as COVID-19 testing as per current protocols. Food safety knowledge, including holding a valid Food Service Handler's Card where applicable, and past experience in the foodservice industry will be preferred to ensure operational success.

- Complete educational requirements as required per community and state requirements
- Able to withstand sudden temperature changes from the heat of the kitchen or the cold of the freezer
- May be required to have a negative COVID-19 test on file

Job Duties
- Greet residents and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Take resident and visitor orders for food/beverages
- Deliver beverages immediately upon ordering
- Deliver prepared food to table as soon as ready for service
- Check with diners after food delivery to assure that food is acceptable and, if not, make suggestions and solve the problems associated with the food served
- This may include taking food back to the kitchen for replacement/new preparation
- Washing table tops and condiment containers after every meal
- Washing edges and legs of tables, and chairs including the arms, seats, backs and legs of chairs after every meal
- Vacuuming dining room after each meal
