Job Duties

  • Escort guests to their tables when needed
  • Review MVP program with all guests
  • Demonstrate strong MVP program knowledge
  • Review menus to guests and answer questions about menu items
  • Upsell to improve dining experience and raise check average
  • Explain menu item preparation, ingredients and cooking methods
  • Write guests food orders on order pads and repeat orders back to guests
  • Input guests orders accurately into POS system
  • Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and take corrective action if needed
  • Verify guests identification for alcohol consumption
  • Collect payments from guests
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables and take them to kitchen for cleaning
  • Clean and reset tables after dining
  • Assist hosts by answering phones, taking to-go orders, greeting, seating, and thanking guests
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying server stations, taking out trash, and bathroom cleaning
  • Roll silverware and set up food stations or dining areas
  • Stock service areas with supplies like coffee, tea, beverages, napkins, and side plates
  • Fill salt and pepper shakers and wipe down table tents
  • Ask guests to leave reviews
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards coworkers and customers
