The role we are hiring for is critical to the daily success of our dining area. This position is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, cleanliness, service, profitability, and efficient operation of the dining space during assigned shifts. Reporting directly to the management team, the individual in this position serves as a liaison between guests, management, and staff to guarantee that all operational standards are strictly followed. Key responsibilities include maintaining a positive company image, communicating courteously with guests, addressing operational issues promptly, mentoring service trainees, and upholding safety protocols. This role requires a proactive approach in identifying areas for improvement within the dining and beverage service areas and implementing effective solutions to enhance guest experience and staff morale. Additionally, this position acts as an ambassador for the company's marketing campaigns, relaying relevant information to patrons to foster engagement and brand loyalty.

Adherence to safety and security procedures is a top priority to protect both employees and guests alike, including strict compliance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy. Employees in this position are expected to treat all individuals with dignity, respect, and professionalism, creating an inclusive and positive environment. Our service staff must uphold a strict dress code and personal appearance standards to maintain the professional image of the company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing physical demands and maintaining composure and professionalism throughout their shift. The role also involves communication duties such as answering phones to provide information on operations and take to-go orders. Regular maintenance and sanitation tasks are part of the position, ensuring that the dining area and equipment remain clean and safe at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working in a loud, high volume environment
  • prepared and in your workplace at the scheduled time
  • ability to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs to waist level
  • must be able to move items up to 30 lbs for distances of up to 25 feet
  • able to remain standing and active for up to an 8 hour shift, including going up and down stairs
  • adherence to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures
  • compliance with all state and federal laws regarding serving alcohol
  • must be available on Sundays on a rotating basis
  • no visible piercings other than ears and nose, with nose limited to a small stud in size
  • no visible tattoos for service staff which are macabre, violent or distasteful in nature
  • prepared to conduct weekly cleaning and maintenance duties
  • answer telephone to provide callers with directions, hours of operation, to-go orders, and other inquiries
  • answer questions guests have regarding products or services

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in restaurant or hospitality service preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow company policies and dress code
  • basic understanding of beverage service
  • ability to manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Reflects positively on the company and its staff
  • communicates with all guests in a congenial manner
  • communicates with all Managers operational issues concerning the quality of service, cleanliness, and efficient operations
  • ensures the timeliness of operational deadlines and adherence to the standards of operations of the position set forth in the Server Training Manual
  • identifies areas of need within the beverage service and dining area and corrects problems
  • communicates the company’s marketing efforts to the guests
  • contributes to the overall positive morale of the operation’s staff
  • assists in the completion of and adherence to the staff training program of trainees in the service area
  • ensures the safety and security of the restaurant and its staff by adhering to the safety and security procedures of the company
  • ensures the safety and security of the guests by adhering to the Responsible Service of Alcohol Policy of the company
  • treats all guests and staff members with dignity and respect
