Job Description
Le Moyne's Chophouse at The Admiral, located in Mobile, Alabama, is a distinguished upscale dining establishment renowned for providing a refined and intimate dining experience. Situated at 251 Government Street, this 60-seat chophouse prides itself on its dedication to quality, elegance, and impeccable service, making it a premier destination for guests seeking not just a meal but a memorable evening. The Admiral venue encapsulates a classic yet contemporary ambiance that appeals to patrons who appreciate fine dining in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's ethos centers on delivering an exceptional guest experience where each dinner is treated as an event to be savored rather than a routine activity. This vision is brought to life by a dedicated team committed to hospitality excellence and culinary artistry.
The role of the Server at Le Moyne's Chophouse is pivotal and carries significant responsibility for ensuring that every guest's visit is exceptional from start to finish. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about fine dining and hospitality to join an environment where professionalism and attention to detail are paramount. Servers are the vital link between the kitchen, bar, and the guests, charged with orchestrating a seamless and elegant dining service. Beyond merely taking orders and serving food, the Server is expected to provide warm and professional greetings, expertly guide guests through a carefully curated menu, and offer insightful suggestions on food and wine pairings.
A key element of this role involves tableside craftsmanship, where servers not only present menu choices and take orders accurately but also perform wine service with a level of sophistication that enhances the dining experience. Mastery of point-of-sale systems, such as Micros or Aloha, is required to efficiently manage guest checks and payments. Additionally, maintaining a pristine dining environment through dedicated side-work is essential to uphold the restaurant’s standards. Collaboration is highly valued as Servers work closely with the culinary and bar teams to ensure every dish and beverage is delivered flawlessly.
Le Moyne's Chophouse seeks candidates who bring at least one year of serving experience, preferably within a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting. A strong foundational knowledge of wine, spirits, and food safety is important, as is current certification by the Mobile County Health Department for Beverage/Food Handling. The ideal server exemplifies a detail-oriented approach, combined with a charming and engaging personality that strives to 'dazzle and delight' every guest. Physical stamina to stand and walk during long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is also required.
This position compensates at a rate of $2.13 per hour plus tips, positioning it as an excellent opportunity for those eager to develop their hospitality careers in a rewarding and professional setting. Le Moyne's Chophouse is committed to supporting its staff with internal growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Employees also enjoy perks such as hotel and restaurant discounts across all Avocet properties and referral bonuses. This dedication to employee wellbeing makes Le Moyne's a sought-after employer in the Mobile area hospitality scene. Joining the team means becoming part of an esteemed establishment where your effort and passion for dining excellence will be recognized and nurtured.
