Job Description
Red Lobster is a renowned seafood restaurant chain with a rich history spanning over fifty years. Originating from a family-owned restaurant that aimed to bring a special connection to seafood and coastal cuisine, Red Lobster has grown into a beloved community staple with more than 500 locations. The company prides itself on creating a dining experience that goes beyond just serving food. Each customer interaction is treated as part of a family moment, where both casual meals and special occasions are celebrated. Their culture emphasizes a warm, welcoming atmosphere where new friends become familiar faces, deeply rooted within the communities they serve.
As a leading restaurant brand, Red Lobster combines quality, hospitality, and opportunity. Their commitment to employees is evident through competitive wages, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at low weekly costs. They support employees' long-term futures with a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company contributions after one year, life and short-term disability insurance, and voluntary benefits. Employee recognition through anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and other guest discounts further exemplify their employee-focused mindset.
The Server role at Red Lobster is integral to delivering the hallmark dining experience customers expect. This position involves engaging with guests to provide outstanding service from the moment they are seated, suggesting menu items like beverages, appetizers, and desserts to enhance the dining experience. Servers accurately take and enter orders using the POS system, communicate effectively to ensure timely food delivery, and attend to customers' needs by refilling drinks and clearing unused items. Closing out the dining experience involves presenting the bill promptly, expressing gratitude, and inviting guests to return.
This position requires adherence to food safety regulations and a genuine passion for creating a positive and memorable guest experience. Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and stooping. Ideal candidates are team players who pay close attention to detail and can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Red Lobster champions diversity and inclusion, describing themselves as an equal opportunity employer, fostering a welcoming workplace for individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life. Their vision for the future is ambitious, aiming to continue growing and evolving with great plans on the horizon. Joining the Red Lobster family now means becoming part of a legacy dedicated to excellence in seafood, community connection, career growth, and employee well-being.
The pay range for this Server position is competitive, from $16.90 to $25.00 per hour, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding position in the hospitality industry with stability, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
