Job Description

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Servers to join our dynamic team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the high standards of customer service that define our brand. Servers play a crucial part in the guest experience by delivering food and drinks promptly and courteously while following Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps. The position is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy engaging with guests to create memorable dining experiences. Prior experience as a restaurant server, waiter, waitress, wait staff, or runner is preferred but not required, as we provide comprehensive training to help new team members succeed. Job Requirements

You must be 18 years or older
deliver food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system
greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions about food, drinks, and service
interact verbally with guests creating friendly and upbeat atmosphere
relay orders to service bar and kitchen via point-of-sale system
observe guests and respond to additional requests
present guest check and accept payment using correct procedure
participate in clearing and resetting dining tables
ability to wipe down tabletops and clean dining areas
transport plates and glasses to and from dining room, service bar, and kitchen
reading, writing, basic math and communication skills
mobility to stand and move for entire shift
ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours
good sense of balance, ability to bend and kneel

Job Qualifications

Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor and wipe down booth seats
transports plates, glasses and baskets to and from dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift
reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills
mobility required during entire shift
transports glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds about 15 times per shift

Job Duties

Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee's team delivery system
greet guests, answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service
interact verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
relay orders to service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system
observe guests and respond to any additional requests
present guest check to each table and accept a form of payment, make correct change and/or complete the proper charge card procedure
participate in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables
