Occupying a prominent position in the cruise industry, American Cruise Lines is devoted to sharing America’s story through its thoughtfully curated itineraries, which span more than 35 states across over 50 routes. The company emphasizes values such as optimism, commitment, patriotism, and merit, which not only define its corporate culture but are also deeply embedded in every aspect of its operations and service philosophy. This approach fosters an environment where employees and guests alike feel inspired and valued.
The role of Server for the 2026 cruising season at American Cruise Lines presents a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic, shipboard setting. This temporary position spans 28 weeks during which the Server will work onboard the cruise ship’s hotel and restaurant, delivering outstanding service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Servers act as ambassadors of the company’s brand and values by providing courteous, attentive, and elegant service from breakfast through cocktail hours. Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down dining areas, addressing guest culinary requests, taking orders efficiently, and ensuring each dish and beverage is served with precision and grace.
Employees in this role are also expected to participate in other hospitality duties such as greeting guests during embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and facilitating evening entertainment. The compensation ranges from $1,000 to $1,400 per week, complemented by additional bonuses. Beyond the tangible benefits, servers gain the chance to connect with a diverse array of passengers and crew, fostering lifelong memories and professional relationships. This role is well suited for individuals who thrive under pressure, maintain composure in dynamic environments, and embody a positive attitude. The job entails working seven days a week onboard the vessel for the duration of the season, demanding stamina and adaptability to the unique aspects of ship life such as constant motion and emergency responsibilities.
