Job Description

Wallick Senior Living is a renowned leader in the senior living industry, dedicated to providing exceptional care and a supportive community environment for older adults. With over 1,000 employees, Wallick is a 100% employee-owned company committed to opening doors to homes, opportunity, and hope for its residents and associates alike. Known for its compassionate approach, Wallick offers a unique blend of comfortable living, meaningful activities, delicious meals, and continuous round-the-clock support, helping residents maintain their independence and enjoy quality of life.

Located at The Ashford on Broad, Wallick Senior Living is currently seeking part-time servers to join its dedicated team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality dining experiences to residents, ensuring not only their nutritional needs are met but also that mealtime is an opportunity for social engagement and enjoyment. The server position offers $14.00 per hour and is ideal for individuals who are eager to make a tangible difference in the lives of seniors while working in a rewarding and dynamic environment.

The server will be responsible for serving meals with attention to table etiquette, handling residents' meal requests, maintaining cleanliness and setup of the dining area, and ensuring that the juice bar, coffee, and iced tea stations are well-stocked and inviting. This role also involves maintaining a supply of utensils, cups, and glasses, as well as managing grab-and-go items and related dining services. The work is not only physically engaging but also socially fulfilling since it requires interaction with residents and fellow team members, contributing to a warm and friendly dining atmosphere.

Wallick Senior Living emphasizes a supportive culture paired with opportunities for professional growth and development. Employees benefit from competitive pay, access to Pay-on-Demand services, a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance available within two weeks of employment, gym membership reimbursement, paid parental leave, 401K, and other benefits. The company fosters work-life balance through paid time off and encourages career advancement through tuition reimbursement, training, and professional development programs.

Working at Wallick means joining a team-oriented environment where each employee-owner plays a vital role in positively impacting residents’ lives. The company takes pride in creating a sense of community, where employees experience rewarding work and meaningful connections, such as celebrating milestones like residents' 105th birthdays or witnessing stories of residents finding an 'instant family.' Wallick’s mission and values—care, character, and collaboration—are deeply embedded in everyday operations, ensuring that all associates feel welcomed, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.

This server position is suitable for applicants with previous waiter experience who possess good communication skills, basic math abilities, and a compassionate attitude towards senior care. Wallick maintains a strict commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, creating a safe and inclusive workplace free from discrimination. Employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
