Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a beloved American restaurant and retail chain founded in 1969, renowned for its inviting atmosphere that blends warm Southern hospitality with a family-friendly dining experience. With over 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel is more than just a place to eat; it’s a community where guests come to enjoy hearty, home-cooked meals, discover unique retail items, and experience genuine Southern charm. The company has built a strong reputation by focusing on great food, abundant servings, unexpected finds, and a warm welcome. Emphasizing a culture of belonging and mutual respect, Cracker Barrel values its employees and works hard to foster an environment where everyone can thrive and feel at home.

Joining Cracker Barrel as a server means becoming part of a team that truly values hospitality. This role is centered on creating exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail, genuine care, and a positive attitude. Servers at Cracker Barrel engage with customers by anticipating their needs, providing thoughtful service, and ensuring that each guest feels appreciated. From simple acts like providing an extra lemon for iced tea to engaging in friendly conversation that brightens someone’s day, servers are the heartbeat of the restaurant, contributing to moments that matter. Cracker Barrel prides itself on a tip system where servers keep 100% of their tips, eliminating tip sharing and ensuring that hardworking team members are rewarded directly for their efforts.

This position offers an inclusive opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, can manage multiple tasks efficiently, learn quickly, and bring enthusiasm and a positive mindset to the table. New team members do not need previous restaurant experience, as comprehensive training is provided through the company’s industry-leading PAR training program, ensuring every server is well-prepared to deliver excellent service from day one.

Cracker Barrel also prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth, offering competitive pay with weekly payments and the convenience of same-day pay access. Health insurance eligibility begins immediately, applicable to both full-time and part-time employees, along with vacation time and access to an employee assistance program. The company promotes career development and financial security through benefits like a 401(k) plan with company matching after 90 days and an employee stock purchase program. Employee recognition, onboarding support, training, and development programs build a strong sense of community and belonging, underscoring Cracker Barrel’s commitment to its team members.

Additional perks include a 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail merchandise and exclusive offers on home, travel, and cell phone services, enhancing employees’ overall satisfaction and well-being. This comprehensive approach to employee care reflects Cracker Barrel’s belief that good work deserves good rewards and that a supportive workplace empowers everyone to do their best.

If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy making a positive impact in guests’ days through attentive service and a team-first attitude, Cracker Barrel offers the perfect environment to grow and thrive. With a welcoming culture, strong support system, and meaningful opportunities, you can find your place and be part of something special where everyone is truly all in good company.
