This Server position at Eureka! is a crucial part of the guest experience, reporting directly to the General Manager and contributing significantly to the restaurant’s operational success. This is a non-exempt position that involves greeting guests warmly, taking orders, serving food and beverages efficiently, and ensuring guests’ needs are met with professionalism and courtesy. A strong knowledge of craft beer and whiskey is necessary, as well as an outgoing personality and positive attitude to foster a welcoming atmosphere. The role requires excellent communication skills, an ability to work quickly in a busy restaurant environment and familiarity with POS systems for handling orders and transactions.
Servers at Eureka! participate actively in various duties that include seating guests, managing orders with accuracy, preparing and serving beverages according to quality standards, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their workstations. The position also involves multitasking responsibilities such as bussing tables, polishing silverware, replenishing condiments, and assisting in the smooth flow of service. Employees need to adhere strictly to the employee handbook, training manuals, and state and federal laws concerning alcohol service.

Job Duties
- Greet all guests within Eureka's time specifications and with a genuinely friendly disposition
- Attend to the needs of all guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Memorize Eureka's abbreviations and ticket writing procedures and write food and drink orders according to guest's request
- Efficiently operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu and bar items in order to respond accurately to guests' inquiries
- Prepare and serve beverages according to time and quality standards
- Know all table and bar seat numbers and deliver food orders
- Execute proper food and drink placement at all tables
- Bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant
- Polish and roll silverware
- Transport plates, bowls and glasses from dish station to the cooks line
- Replenish condiments, such as straws, napkins, ice
- Maintain the expeditor and wait stations
- Assist in seating guests and answering the telephone as needed
- Perform appropriate opening and closing duties such as cleaning and food prep
- Handle cash and credit card transactions according to Eureka's procedures
- Observe state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol
