Job Description

HAP Alaska Yukon is a reputable company operating in the rail services sector, specializing in providing exceptional food and beverage experiences to travelers journeying through the breathtaking Alaska wilderness. As seasonally operated rail dining services, HAP Alaska Yukon offers a unique combination of scenic travel and culinary excellence, appealing to those who appreciate both adventure and high-quality dining. This company prides itself on service excellence, performance, integrity, teamwork, consistency, and innovation, striving to create unforgettable experiences for its guests on every trip. With a focus on seasonal full-time employment, they provide dynamic opportunities for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to join a lively, team-oriented workplace. Employment is situated within the unique setting of rail services, offering a distinctive work environment compared to traditional restaurants or food service establishments.

The role of Server at HAP Alaska Yukon is a vital position responsible for delivering outstanding guest service onboard the train. Servers play a crucial role in creating lifelong memories for guests by offering exceptional service amidst the extraordinary backdrop of Alaska’s wilderness. This position requires dedication to upholding the company’s high standards of service and involves interacting directly with passengers while serving authentic Alaska cuisine and locally made beverages. The Server will perform a variety of high-level guest service and sales tasks, routine food preparation duties, and use the point-of-sale system to accurately process orders and payments. Additionally, the role includes assisting with boarding and disembarking, handling luggage, and supporting guests with limited mobility by operating internal lifts. This demanding yet rewarding job calls for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, are able to multitask efficiently, and can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Besides customer interaction, the Server will answer customer, employee, and management queries, helping to maintain a smooth and pleasant onboard experience. The seasonal, full-time nature of the position offers candidates a unique chance to work in a celebrated travel destination while gaining valuable experience in the hospitality industry. Moreover, the company offers attractive benefits such as a free cruise after the first season, referral rewards, and opportunities for professional growth. The vibrant work environment coupled with Alaska's stunning natural scenery makes this role ideal for hospitality professionals seeking a fulfilling and adventurous career path.
