As a server at Busboys and Poets, you will be part of a passionate, hospitality-driven team in a diverse and inclusive environment. The position is variable in terms of scheduling, offering flexible shifts to accommodate different availability, with a competitive pay structure. Top servers can earn between $25 and $30 an hour, with a guaranteed minimum hourly wage of $17.50. Base pay is set at $10 per hour plus tips, reflecting Busboys and Poets' commitment to rewarding excellent service.

In this role, you will guide guests through the menu with comprehensive knowledge of the offerings, take accurate orders, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver food and beverages that exceed guest expectations. Ensuring compliance with age restrictions for alcoholic beverages and maintaining exceptional customer service with prompt greetings, check-ins, and a memorable closing experience are key responsibilities. Additionally, servers assist with keeping the restaurant clean, sanitized, and safe by bussing tables, rolling silverware, wiping down surfaces, and restocking service areas. There may also be opportunities to assist hosts with seating guests, answering phones, and taking reservations or to-go orders.
