Job Description

We are currently looking for a dedicated Server to join our enthusiastic team. The role involves being the friendly face that interacts directly with guests, ensuring they feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued from arrival through to the conclusion of their dining experience. This is a full-time, paid position ideal for candidates who have a passion for food and wine and enjoy thriving in a fast-paced, energetic environment. The Server will be responsible for preparing the dining room, providing accurate menu information, assisting guests in food and beverage selections, and maintaining a clean and organized service area. The right candidate will have previous experience working in a bustling restaurant or entertainment setting, excellent communication skills, and a positive, outgoing attitude conducive to delivering excellent customer service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience working as a server in a fast-paced restaurant or entertainment environment required
  • valid alcohol and/or food handlers card certification required
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing required
  • strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality required
  • capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy work setting required
  • willingness to adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently required

Job Duties

  • Prepare room for dining by setting decorations, glasses, placemats, menus, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils as necessary
  • protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines, answering food preparation questions
  • stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
  • transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices, identifying special dietary needs and special requests
  • keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • serve orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen, deliver accompaniments and condiments
  • respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring needs and observing dining process
  • maintain table setting by removing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, being alert to spills or other needs
  • properly open and pour wine at tableside
  • conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant and inviting patrons to return
  • obtain revenues by totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, delivering bills and payments to host, returning change or credit card and signature slip
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • provide welcoming phone greeting and follow guest ordering procedures
  • convey menu information over the phone and give accurate delivery time estimates
  • perform basic cleaning tasks as needed
  • fill in for absent staff as needed
  • assist with special events as needed
  • adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
