The Server position plays a critical role in ensuring customers receive timely and courteous service throughout their visit. This role involves serving food and beverages in the dining room while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Serving responsibly, including adherence to all state and local alcohol service regulations, is paramount. The server will actively promote menu items through effective salesmanship and suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience and contribute to business growth. The position demands the ability to handle multiple tables efficiently, accurately process orders either manually or digitally using point-of-sale systems, and perform money transactions correctly. Additionally, the server will support other front-of-house and back-of-house functions, including clearing tables, assisting with salad and dessert preparation, and executing closing duties such as roll-ups and restocking. Physical demands are inherent in this role, with requirements to stand and walk extensively, carry trays weighing up to 40 pounds frequently during shifts, and manage other physical tasks associated with the upkeep and cleanliness of dining areas. A successful candidate must be at least 18 years old or meet state-specific guidelines to serve alcohol.
