At Mesero, the role of a Server is pivotal to the overall guest experience. This position is available as both part-time and full-time, with a pay rate starting at $2.13 per hour, supplemented by tips. As a Server, your primary responsibility will be to professionally sell and serve food and beverages while maintaining a friendly and efficient demeanor. You will be expected to manage multiple tables, ensuring that each guest's dining experience is personalized, enjoyable, and memorable. The Server role demands in-depth knowledge of Mesero's diverse menu, including ingredients, preparation techniques, and presentation standards. Communication skills are essential, as you will interact with guests to make recommendations, answer questions, and handle any concerns with courtesy and promptness.
The position also requires proficiency in using the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately take orders, process payments, and manage transactions. Servers must verify guests' legal drinking age for alcoholic beverage service responsibly and professionally. Besides serving duties, you will contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant by performing side work such as cleaning and resetting tables. Job Duties
- Suggest and serve food and drinks in a timely confident manner adhering to Meseros high standards of service
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Meseros food and beverage offerings including preparation ingredients and presentation
- Efficiently use a point-of-sale POS system to ring in orders process payments and make change
- Interact with guests in a welcoming friendly manner ensuring their needs and expectations are met
- Check guests identification to confirm they meet legal drinking age requirements in a polite and responsible manner
- Ensure the restaurant is operating smoothly by completing side-work assisting with cleaning and resetting tables
- Maintain personal hygiene and a neat clean uniform as part of presenting a polished and professional appearance
- Work together as a team with all front and back of house members to maintain culture expectations and guest experience
- Always strive to anticipate and exceed guest expectations to ensure their complete satisfaction
