The role of a Server at Shrimp Basket is central to delivering an exceptional guest experience. This position involves selling and serving Shrimp Basket food and drinks in a professional and efficient manner. Servers maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including current items and limited-time offers, to provide informed recommendations to customers. Their responsibilities include taking and preparing orders for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, handling payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the dining experience. The server also performs various side-work duties that support restaurant operations, from preparing restaurant areas for opening and closing to maintaining cleanliness. Candidates must be able to pass the Responsible Vendor Service of Alcohol test with a high score and adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude.   • Must be of legal age according to state regulations to serve alcohol

Job Duties

  • Maintains complete knowledge of Shrimp Basket food and beverage preparation, menu and LTO's
  • Takes orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages and food items
  • Prepares orders for alcoholic (age 21 and over) and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Able to use a computer to ring orders into a POS
  • Suggestively sells and serves food and drinks to three to five tables as determined by management
  • Refills drinks as needed by customers
  • Accepts different types of payment and makes change
  • Interacts with customers, management and co-workers in a friendly and fast manner
  • Maintains specific side-work such as getting ice, filling cracker baskets, sleeving silverware, making and portioning sauces, cutting lemons, sweeping and mopping after closing, setting up and breaking down tables and bar and server stations
  • Clears and resets tables
  • Must be able to pass Responsible Vendor Service of Alcohol test with a score of 90 percent or better
  • Checks identification of guests to ensure legal age for alcohol consumption and refuses service politely if necessary
  • Treats customers to ensure their complete satisfaction and strives to exceed customer expectations
  • Reports to work on time in a neat and clean uniform and maintains personal grooming
  • Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as directed by management
  • Reports to required meetings
