The role under consideration is a Food and Beverage Server position within Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. This full-time role is centered on delivering outstanding guest service by serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with the hotel’s standards. The position demands high attention to detail in setting tables appropriately based on the event type and service requirements, as well as an ability to answer guest queries regarding menu selections. Servers act as vital communicators between guests and the kitchen, relaying important information such as meal requirements, allergies, dietary restrictions, special requests, and the status of orders to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Utilizing the MICROS system, servers are responsible for recording transactions accurately at the time of order. Throughout the service, checking in with guests to confirm their satisfaction with each course and beverage is essential. Beyond the active service period, servers also maintain cleanliness and order in work areas, glassware, and china, and carry out closing duties such as restocking and securing the workspace.
This position not only requires excellent service skills but also adherence to all company safety policies. Servers must promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a professional appearance and protecting proprietary information is mandatory.

Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good communication skills
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
- Willingness to follow company safety policies

Job Duties
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- Set tables according to type of event and service standards
- Answer questions on menu selections
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability
- Record transactions in MICROS system at time of order
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glassware
- Complete closing duties including restocking items and turning off lights
- Present physical and accurate checks to guests and process payments
- Follow all company safety and security policies
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards
- Assist individuals with disabilities
- Develop positive working relationships and support team goals
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- Stand, sit, or walk for entire work shift
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds with assistance
