Job Description
The Phoenician, a Luxury Collection Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a renowned destination offering a blend of elegance, luxury, and exceptional hospitality. Managed by Marriott International, The Phoenician stands as a beacon of premium lodging and dining experiences, located at 6000 E Camelback Rd. With a rich legacy within the Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts portfolio, it brings together authentic experiences that create cherished memories for every guest. The resort's commitment to excellence is evident in its dedication to providing a welcoming environment where diversity and inclusiveness are celebrated and where associates from various cultural and professional backgrounds come together to create unparalleled service.
We are currently seeking a part-time Food Server to join our distinguished food and beverage team. This role is positioned as non-management and is focused on delivering exceptional guest service during the evening shift, for which availability is preferred. The Food Server role at The Phoenician is not merely about serving food and drinks to guests; it is about creating a memorable and unique experience that goes beyond the plate. As a Food Server, you will play a critical part in ensuring the overall guest experience is immersive and personalized.
The ideal candidate will have some prior food-serving experience and will demonstrate a proactive approach in anticipating guests’ needs. Responsibilities include setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting and serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness in both work and storage areas. Food Servers at The Phoenician understand the importance of safety and professionalism; you should expect to be physically active throughout your shifts, with duties involving standing, walking, carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and maintaining proper posture to ensure quality service.
Working with The Phoenician means being part of a global team where each member contributes to the legacy of Marriott International’s Luxury Collection. The portfolio includes over 120 hotels across more than 35 countries, each offering a unique expression of its location’s cultural and historical essence. Employees are valued for their passions, insights, and dedication to authentic storytelling through guest engagement and exceptional service. By joining The Phoenician, you not only become part of a historic luxury brand but also embrace an opportunity to grow professionally and personally as part of an inspiring workplace that encourages you to be your best self.
This position does not require supervisory experience or specific licenses, making it accessible to those looking to start or advance their careers in hospitality. Educationally, a high school diploma or its equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate is preferred, alongside a desire to contribute positively to a team-oriented luxury service environment. Marriott International’s commitment to equal opportunity means all applicants and associates are treated with respect, promoting a workplace free from discrimination and rich in cultural diversity. We invite you to consider this rewarding career opportunity where you can truly make a difference in our guests’ experiences and be part of a world-class team.
