Job Description

The role at Polly's is centered around a unique blend of customer service and operational excellence. This position involves interacting directly with guests, taking their meal and drink orders accurately, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience that meets the brand’s standards. The successful candidate will be familiar with using the Aloha Point of Sale System, possess strong menu knowledge, and be capable of guiding guests through their menu choices. This role demands a professional attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and respectfully within a team under varying conditions including different shifts and busy periods. Responsibilities also include maintaining food safety standards, following cash handling policies, and performing side work and cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness and safety of the service area.

Team members are expected to consistently achieve high mystery shopper scores and exhibit accountability in all their duties. Job Requirements

  • Valid Food Handlers Card if required by county
  • One to two years with Polly’s experience and/or training preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Accuracy and honesty of handling revenues and aspects of the revenue control system
  • Outstanding customer relation skills
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to act on and solve minor problems as they arise

Job Duties

  • Takes verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preference
  • Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks
  • Protects the brand by demonstrating menu expertise, identify menu items in Aloha Point of Sale System, and able to identify menu items and ingredients for the guest
  • Serves high quality food and checks all orders to ensure they are complete, prepared as ordered, portioned correctly and attractive in appearance
  • Monitors and oversees food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce the incidence of risk factors known to cause food borne illness
  • Consistently exceed Polly’s standards and maintain mystery shopper scores of 90 and above
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures, as defined by the Cash Handling Policy
