The Guest Service Expert role at JW Marriott Tampa Water Street is a full-time, non-management position that plays a pivotal part in crafting exceptional dining experiences for guests. Unlike typical food and beverage roles, this position transcends merely serving food or drinks; it focuses on creating memorable and unique guest experiences that guests cherish and remember. The Guest Service Expert has the responsibility to ensure smooth transactions and positive interactions by actively engaging with guests, setting tables with precision, maintaining clear communication with the kitchen staff, and keeping work areas and supplies clean and organized. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to service and teamwork, along with a strong commitment to quality standards and safety protocols.

Working as a Guest Service Expert at JW Marriott requires physical stamina as the job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, often on uneven or slippery surfaces. The role demands the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds with assistance, as well as bending and twisting movements. This dynamic environment requires excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail to ensure each guest receives attentive and personalized service. Although prior supervisory experience is not required, a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the Marriott culture are highly valued.
