As part of the global Marriott International family, The Ritz-Carlton brand sets the gold standard in the luxury hospitality industry, priding itself on delivering unparalleled guest experiences that are remembered long after their stay. With over 100 award-winning hotels worldwide, The Ritz-Carlton focuses on creating a culture of excellence driven by creativity, kindness, and compassion, empowering its staff to exceed expectations and consistently improve their service. This renowned establishment embodies a spirit of teamwork, motivation, and respect, ensuring that each employee feels valued and supported both inside and outside the workplace.
This particular role is within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, specifically at The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey’s In-Room Dining service. It is a full-time, non-management position, offering an hourly wage ranging from $17.81 to $20.00, along with eligibility for staff charges. This position requires dedication to providing guests with an extraordinary dining experience by serving food and beverages directly to their rooms with professionalism and care.
As a member of the In-Room Dining team, you will be the first point of contact for guests enjoying dining in the comfort and privacy of their rooms. Your responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests, efficiently attending to their tables or orders without delay, and offering informed recommendations about the menu. You will utilize your product knowledge to assist guests with any questions or special requests to enhance their satisfaction. Mastery of the MICROS point-of-sale system will be important to accurately and promptly process transactions.
Your attentiveness will ensure that every guest’s food and beverage experience is memorable. This includes proactively checking satisfaction during and after service, maintaining impeccable table settings, and promptly clearing and resetting tables. The role demands physical stamina, as you must be capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and should be able to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds (10 kilograms). A professional appearance is necessary, complete with a clean uniform.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton team means becoming part of a diverse and global family that values each individual’s unique talents, regardless of level of experience in hospitality. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned professional, your positive energy, teamwork, and guest-focused mindset will be appreciated and rewarded. The company offers numerous employee benefits, including hotel room discounts, retail merchandise discounts, food and beverage privileges, opportunities for learning and development, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and supportive management.
Moreover, The Ritz-Carlton fosters an inclusive environment where diversity of backgrounds, talents, and experiences is celebrated. Marriott International, the parent company, is committed to equal employment opportunities and ensuring accessibility for all employees, while also considering qualified applicants with criminal histories fairly, in accordance with applicable laws.
As an In-Room Dining team member at The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey, you will uphold the "Gold Standards" of the brand, which encompass employee promise, credo, and service values. You will be trained and certified in safety prior to employment, guaranteeing a secure and professional workplace. This position provides a rewarding opportunity to combine your passion for food and beverages with a career that allows you to make guests feel truly at home, meet people from around the world, and grow within a globally respected hospitality brand. You will start fulfilling your purpose, form part of an incredible global team, and become the best version of yourself while contributing to creating lasting memories for each guest.
