This role is based at JW Marriott/Ritz-Carlton LALIVE in Los Angeles, California, specifically located at 900 W Olympic Blvd. It is a full-time, non-management Food and Beverage opportunity with a pay rate of $17.87 per hour, and it is tip eligible. In this position, you will be an essential part of creating memorable dining experiences for guests by delivering attentive table service and embodying a genuine commitment to hospitality. Your tasks will include welcoming guests, promptly servicing tables, and sharing your menu knowledge to assist guests with inquiries and special requests. You will efficiently register transactions using the MICROS system, ensure guest satisfaction through proactive engagement, and maintain a clean and well-stocked dining environment. This position demands excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a friendly personality to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented setting. The role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods and the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Uniform cleanliness and professional appearance are mandatory, and you will need to complete safety training and certification prior to onboarding. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent general educational development certificate
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Maintain a professional appearance with a clean uniform
  • Complete pre-employment safety training and certification
  • No supervisor experience required
  • No licenses or certifications required

Job Qualifications

  • Good conversational skills and team orientation
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality
  • Prior experience as a waiter considered a strong advantage

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests and service tables promptly
  • Serve food and beverages to guests and offer recommendations when needed
  • Share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
  • Accurately and timely record transactions using the MICROS system
  • Approach guests to ensure satisfaction with each dish and drink
  • Clean tables, complete closing duties, and restock dishes and supplies
