Job Description
The Delaney at The Green is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and hospitality services to its residents. Focused on enhancing quality of life, The Delaney at The Green specializes in memory care, ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment for seniors with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. The community prides itself on delivering personalized attention, fostering a sense of belonging, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. Located in a welcoming neighborhood, it blends quality healthcare with the warmth and hospitality of a true home-like atmosphere, offering residents both professional care and enriched social experiences.
The culinary team at The Delaney at The Green plays a pivotal role in the overall well-being of its memory care residents by providing nourishing, delightful dining experiences tailored to individual needs. They are currently seeking a dedicated and hospitality-focused Memory Care Server to join this dynamic team. This is a part-time position with a scheduled shift from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.50. The role is hands-on, involving full-scope serving functions specifically within the memory care neighborhood, where attentive and compassionate service is essential.
As a Memory Care Server, the individual will be responsible for executing duties that go beyond traditional serving roles. This includes maintaining strict standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization within the dining environment to ensure resident safety and comfort. Attention to detail is critical when handling food quality, appearance, and presentation to enhance the dining experience. The server will set tables, maintain workstations, and serve meals using proper etiquette while creating an inviting and pleasant atmosphere for seniors.
The position demands empathy and patience, considering the unique needs of memory care residents. The Memory Care Server is expected to communicate effectively, answer questions regarding menu items, and provide customized service to promote resident engagement and satisfaction. Prior experience in food service and working with seniors is preferred, while a minimum educational requirement of completion of the sophomore year in high school is necessary.
This opportunity not only offers a meaningful career path but also provides an array of employee benefits designed to support staff wellbeing. These include a 401k plan with employer match, dental, health, and vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and daily pay. The Delaney at The Green fosters an inclusive, supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow and make a genuine impact in the lives of senior residents. If you are an enthusiastic and compassionate professional with a passion for hospitality and senior engagement, this role is an excellent fit to join a respected senior care community committed to excellence and heartfelt service.
