Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 18 years
  • prior experience in restaurant serving or customer service preferred
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • basic proficiency with POS systems
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and manage different activities simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Escort guests to their tables when needed
  • review MVP program with all guests
  • demonstrate strong MVP program knowledge
  • review menus and answer questions about menu items
  • upsell to improve dining experience and raise check average
  • explain how menu items are prepared describing ingredients and cooking methods
  • write guests food orders on order pads and repeat the order back
  • input guests order accurately into POS system
  • check with guests to ensure enjoyment and correct any problems
  • check guests identification for alcohol consumption age requirements
  • collect payments
  • remove dishes and glasses and take to kitchen for cleaning throughout visit and after guests leave
  • clean and reset tables after guests have finished dining
  • assist host or hostess with phone answering, to-go orders, greeting, seating, and thanking guests
  • perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, tidying server station, taking out trash, and cleaning bathroom
  • roll silverware and set up food stations or dining areas for next shift or large parties
  • stock service areas with supplies like coffee, tea, beverages, napkins, side plates
  • refill salt, pepper shakers and wipe down table tents
  • ask guests to leave a review
  • maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers
