Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- proficiency in operating point-of-sale systems
- ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- knowledge of food and beverage menus
- strong interpersonal skills
- basic math skills for handling transactions
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to follow health and safety standards
- ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and games in an ideal environment for celebrating all out fun
- keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- create a warm, fun atmosphere for guests and team members
- adhere to company sanitation procedures
- maintain responsibility for personal bank and ensure all financial transactions are accurate by operating credit card machines correctly, calculating and returning appropriate change and maintaining adequate cash and coin for making change
- follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
- assess guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a manager
- greet newly seated guests in a friendly and timely manner
- accurately take guests food and drink orders
- maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence, using appropriate modifications and charges
- ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated table servers own section, as well as other sections as needed
- work quickly and efficiently adhering to full hands in, full hands out philosophy
- assist in party setup and breakdown
- buss and reset tables as needed
- assist other team members as needed or as business dictates
- responsible for all sales on personal Micros keys and completing station side work at the beginning and end of shift
- participate in all incentives and contests, driving sales and promoting the brand
- follow portion guidelines to ensure cost control while maximizing guest experience
- ensure ongoing guest satisfaction by checking back after food delivery, maintaining drink levels, removing clutter, prebussing and responding to guest needs promptly
- keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately
- maintain favorable working relationships with all team members to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- communicate effectively with guests to generate enthusiasm about the Dave & Buster's experience
- demonstrate ability to operate Micros, make changes, accurately conduct credit card transactions, and account for all monies at the end of each shift
- read and communicate in English
- listen to guests orders and needs then communicate verbally and with other team members via Micros system
- dress in proper dress code, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
- be at least 18 years of age
