Twin City Grill is a prominent American grill located on the first floor of the Mall of America, a major shopping and entertainment destination in Minnesota. The Server position at Twin City Grill offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a role in a dynamic restaurant environment. Servers play a crucial role in exceeding guests’ expectations by delivering efficient, friendly service. This position demands teamwork, enthusiasm, strong multitasking abilities, and knowledge of food and wine to ensure high-quality guest interactions. Servers at Twin City Grill are responsible for managing a section of 3-6 tables, performing all steps of service, and maintaining cleanliness by bussing tables. The role also involves processing payments accurately and ensuring compliance with all restaurant policies.

Candidates should expect to work various hours, including weekends and different shifts, to meet restaurant needs. Physical demands include safely moving food and beverages, using restaurant tools and equipment, and the ability to stand or walk throughout the shift. The fast-paced work environment requires calmness under pressure and effective communication skills to meet job demands. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken form
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of food and wine preferred
  • Experience in a restaurant service environment is an asset
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to complete alcohol awareness training

  • Basic math skills to handle payments

Job Duties

  • Provide efficient, friendly guest service to a 3-6 table section including but not limited to following all steps of service and bussing the table to ensure a positive guest experience
  • Accurately record and account for all items ordered, process payments, and balance all sales/receipts in compliance with restaurant policies and procedures
  • Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • Safely and effectively transport food or beverages to a table of three in a single trip
  • Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment
  • Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment
  • Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
  • Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
